About Atelier Symbiose
Making landscape design more accessible, more alive, and closer to nature.
My name is Kathy, and I have always lived deeply connected to nature. I instinctively exist in rhythm with the seasons, fascinated by everything that grows, blooms, disappears, and is reborn.
For a long time, I tried to design my own garden alone, without really managing to create the harmony I was looking for. I considered hiring a landscape architect — but the prices were out of reach, as they are for many amateur gardeners.
So, I decided to train myself in landscape design.
Today, I live in the countryside, in Havinnes, surrounded by a huge garden that has become a true observation ground — a space where I still learn every season. There, I discovered extraordinary wild species: elegant, robust, changing throughout the months… yet almost absent from private gardens.
These native plants have the same presence as many horticultural species sold in garden centers, with the added benefit of a real ecological role.
This vision guides Atelier Symbiose.
"I don't believe in the perfect garden. I believe in living gardens."— Kathy —
I design gardens as I would like to walk through them myself: living, natural, and moving scenes. Not rigid alignments or frozen beds, but compositions that resemble real landscapes.
I love gardens that evolve. A garden that changes with the seasons tells a story. It surprises, slows the gaze, attracts birds, insects, and life around it.
Ready-to-plant compositions
That's why I create ready-to-plant compositions: landscape designs carefully thought out, that multiple people can install at home at an accessible price. A way to share what I've learned, and to make possible what seemed reserved for a few.
Because a living garden should not be a privilege.
